Omnipotent

This series, typically reflects the various feminine issues from third world like social inequality, marital inhumanity, and violence against women. I feel in our current patriarchal society, a woman feels suffocated and often suffers from a certain form of an identity crisis. My previous stints especially with human biology courses in high school have inspired me to infuse my anatomical knowledge into my paintings. Most of my works thus far, portray a great inclination towards the human physique. Through my paintings, I recontextualize nature as a source while integrating personal experiences and present life. My work addresses women's daily uncomfortable and unprecedented experiences, exploring themes of fertility, regeneration, gender, and sexuality. With a background in biological science, I draw inspiration from natural forms, such as the cross-section of a flower, using shapes like petals, ovaries, and anthers as metaphors. I depict the human condition and its relationship with nature, highlighting the identity crisis women face in a patriarchal society. Both organic and inorganic, small and insignificant objects around me support my identity and existence, reflecting in my work. I use cotton and, human hair in some of them as a raw natural medium. I created a relief on the surface using cotton and leucoplast as a metaphor for a sanitary pad that absorbs excess blood as these parts are constantly absorbing surplus and undesirable pronouncement of the society.
